For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.

A rekindling experience of love through imagery.

State College Ramada Bridal Show

Here some pictures from the State College Bridal Show at the Ramada Inn. I must say, I was not as impressed with this show as compared to last year. There were countless photograghers, florists and DJs there. It was missing....something. Alot of the vendors skipped out on this event, thanks to the Bryce Jordan Center that will be hosting, a now annual, Bridal Expo in September.

This blinging shoe can be found at LuCretia II in Altoona. http://lucretiabridals.com/

My favorite vendor for cakes (besides Judy Huey of course!), Delectable Delights by Heather Luse of Centre Hall. http://www.blogger.com/www.delectabledelightsbyheather.com Her hubby is a real talker and I got allll the scoop on this wonderful and amazing woman and her many business endeavors. I highly suggest you check out her website. If you are fortunate enough to be within their delivery distance, BOOK HER! Not only do they do cakes, they do cookies, cup cakes and the good Lord only knows what else! Her booth speaks for its self!

And in case you didn't notice, she was 2007's Knot Best of Wedding pick!

Looove this table of decor from Avant Garden in downtown State College! I can just smell the oranges looking at it! Isn't it amazing that something as simple as tall slender vases filled with oranges and water is so beautiful and elegant?? http://www.avantgardenfloral.com/state-college-florist/winter-flowers-93c.asp

Another one of my favorite vendors...Daniel Vaughn Designs located by Wegmans in State College. His work is breath takingly elegant and amazing! Last year his booth was all sand, seashells and chocolate! I can't think of a better mix myself! http://www.blogger.com/www.danielvaughndesigns.com

So romantic :)

Check out THAT bling!

Cakes for Occasions by Kim Morrison of Spring Mills, Pa. http://kmcakes.com/ I don't know a whole lot about her. But the caramel iced chocolate cake was delicioius!

She does simple....

...to very involved! Look at the detail!

Looking for wedding and party rentals? Look no further! Pegasus by Sharon Shaffer will assist you in achieving any wedding look for your reception! http://weddingpartyrentals.biz/

This was my favorite from her booth. I'm craving sun and sand right about now!!

Another awesome florist...Narbers Floral Company of Boalsburg. http://www.narber.com/ They went with a very springy theme this year. Very elegant and tasteful.

I love the tall center pieces. It makes those sitting at the table able to enjoy a conversation with those opposite the center piece. You choose a center piece that is big and sits down low, it puts a wall between your guests. You want people to mingle and enjoy each others company, not hinder it!
That's all I have for excitement from the Bridal Show. Like I said, it was a little disappointing this year. I feel bad that I talked it up so much. Last year it was huge. They had one room completely closed off that was open last year. I can name a handful of vendors that did not attend.
BUT! Those brides who did go, got a lot of great ideas, hopefully won some great prizes and enjoyed a day out with the girls!

Dubois Mall Bridal Show

It's hard to believe that year ago I was planning my wedding and excited to go to the bridal show! Here are some pictures from the show!
The following cakes were made by Judy Huey's Sweet Creations of Reynoldsville. She did my wedding cake and it was AWESOME! She sends you a CD with a bunch of cakes she has made in the past. I found a cake design I loved, but the theme was way off. I drew a picture of it and labeled what I wanted where and the color icing. It worked out amazingly! She liked the cake that I designed so much, she made a display one for her Bridal Shows! How COOL is that?!Contact Judy Huey's Sweet Creations: 814-653-2371

There she is ladies!! The cake I designed. It was much larger, to accomodate 315 guests.

I think this cake is super cute!

The HUGE 10 foot by 4 foot cake for the cake dive! It smelled SO good!

This is a little ditty from Affordable Creations of Punxsy. They are special event coordinators/specialty design decorators. Contact: Pat McCorkle 814-618-5113/ affordablecreations@fastmail.fm

The next two pictures are displays you can rent from Elegance and Ivy of Johnsonburg. Cindy and Vicki are AMAZING! I booked them for my wedding and I am so thankful I did! You should go and get a consultation. Their prices are reasonable and they take the stresses out of decorating! PLUS, you don't have to lug anything to the Ceremony and Reception and back again. They do it all! Contact Cindy: 814-965-5052 or Vicki: 814-965-2755 eleganceandivy@yahoo.com

The following cakes were made by Uzi's Pastries of Brookville. Contact Uzi 1-800-913-CAKE or 814-220-0023.

That would be Uzi!

The following dresses are curtesy of Tie the Knot Bridal Shoppe & Formals of Curwensville. 814-236-3550 tietheknot@atlanticbbn.net http://tietheknotbridal.net/

Pretty!

And my favorite dress of the day!!

I want to take it home!!

Growllll!

Letting the Brides in for the CAKE DIVE!!

Get ready!

And they're off!

Looking for those prizes!

Digging, digging!

The bystanders got cake thrown at them...it's hanging on the ropes!

The carnage on the floor and shoes!

A flower remained intact...then it got stabbed by a stilletto right after I shot this. :)

Stilletto boots took one for the team! All in the name of winning that $900.00 necklace :)

Total cake carnage.

Trying to decide where to clean up first.

And for all you Steelers fans! Get your Steeler party cake from Judy Huey!

This is almost exactly what Scott wore in our wedding. The only difference was the vest. He wore a silk vest to match me! Contact Joe's Tux Shop of DuBois: 814-371-2077
